1. MOVE OUT OF THE HOUSE WHEN POTENTIAL BUYERS ARE VIEWING
Go to the mall or your favorite coffee shop when a potential buyer is scheduled to see your home. It makes buyers uncomfortable when the homeowners are inside the house watching them.
Give them space so they can roam around freely and imagine themselves as the owners of the property.
2. HIDE YOUR PETS OR TAKE THEM OUTSIDE
Pets are awesome but sad to say, they’re not the best companions around when there are potential homebuyers.
First, buyers or their children might pet allergies. They could have over sensitive immune system that will instantly react to your pet’s saliva, urine or dead skin cells. This’ll an instant turnoff to any potential buyer.
Second, buyers might have doubts to the state of the furnishings. Pets, especially cats and dogs are notorious for scratching everything; this includes floors, walls, doors, windows and appliances. Having your pets around might create some form of hesitation.
If selling your Edmonton house is that important to you, take your time to hide or take your pets with you.
3. PROVIDE ACCESS TO IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS
Allowing potential homebuyers to see some of the crucial documents like appraisal reports, home inspection reports, warranty and utility bills will give them an overall idea of what they’re in for and how the house is perfect for them.
Best for you show all of these things upfront, so it will not cost you any headaches in the future.
4. GIVE POTENTIAL TENANTS THE BEST PARKING IN THE HOUSE
You might think this is minor stuff but finding a parking spot is one of the worst nuances a potential homebuyer could experience.
Makes things easier for the future homeowner of your property by giving them the best parking spot.
Having potential homebuyers go around the street just to find a parking space and walk a few blocks will definitely put them on a bad mood and ruin the chances of your home getting sold.
5. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR REALTOR
Realtors are the experts in the industry. If and when they have an advice or a plan to sell your home faster, hear them out and try to follow their advice. 9 out of 10 times, their advice will help get your property sold.
