Canada Day 2016 in Edmonton is coming!
So what is there to do? Lots of things!
Edmonton will be celebrating Canada Day along with the rest of Canada.
The REAL question is how will YOU be celebrating in your neighbourhood? What does your family love to do? There are literally DOZENS of things to do and events out there. What we would like to do is to point you to some of our favourites!
One of our favourite things are the fireworks. BOTH of them!
You can go to Mill woods Park or to the Legislature Grounds. And speaking of the Legislature, they will be having activities all day long.
There are a number of bloggers who have listed virtually everything that is going on. You can find a pretty comprehensive lists - HERE is ToDoCanada's and HERE is JustAnotherEdmontonMommy's List. We are big fans of both of these blogs and there lists are pretty comprehensive.
Here are a few more of the activities that we found the most interesting:
Canada Day Heritage Chinatown Night Market
Crafts, performances, a night market and all sorts of fun from 4pm -9pm! For more details click here.
Sand on Whyte
JULY 1 TO 10, 2016
10 am to 10 pm
Admission is by Donation
Have you seen the sand carving that professional sand carving artists, Wilfred Stijger and Edith van de Wetering from the Netherlands and Patricia Leguen from Saskatoon do? They are quite literally masterpieces for you to enjoy. They will be mentoring a group of novice sand carvers to create some home-grown sand carving art. It is truly part art and part magic!
We hope you celebrate Canada Day with a weekend full of activities and fun!
