Edmonton Air Quality Health Index September 30 2016

Lucky for us, the air quality in the beautiful city of Edmonton is good. Just today, September 30, the Air Quality Health Index is at an average of 2, which is in the low risk category.

We at Team Leading Edge are a bunch of health conscious Realtors, so even if the index shows low risk, we know that pollutants are still present.

Sure, you can’t control the environment outside of your home, but inside, you’re in charge. So today, we picked our top 5 choices of plants that could detoxify the air inside of your Edmonton home.

There’s a saying that goes like this; “you take care of things now, you’ll reap the rewards tomorrow” …or something to that effect.

Well, that’s the idea behind our topic today. We’re featuring our beloved business partner / Licensed Home Inspector, Dave Watson, and his tip on how to make your lawn healthy and beautiful come springtime.

“A little extra time in the fall with lawn maintenance will reap benefits in the Spring with a thicker, healthier lawn."

Quick Tip on Lawn Mowing! Courtesy of our friends at Yardly.ca (please tell them that you are a friend of ours, we would appreciate it!) Nothing adds to the curb appeal and appearance of a home like freshly mown grass! But doing it right requires frequent mowing. Switch your mowing frequency from bi-weekly to a weekly mowing schedule and watch what happens!

We've had optimal growing conditions we’ve been having this year, but the solution is not to cut it shorter (and risk burning the root) it's to mow more often. If you want to mow weekly, yardly.ca has a weekly mowing solution that saves you money. NO contracts and NO obligation. You can switch

In today’s article, Team Leading Edge discusses the actions to take if and when an inspection yields negative results.

  1.      FOUNDATION DETERIORATION

All aspects of the home will eventually deteriorate. One of the crucial parts you have to watch out for is the state of the foundation.  Time is the enemy here, a 10 year-old home is prone to foundation cracks and shifting.  If you’re on the selling side, ensure to immediately hire a contractor to restore or fix the damage. Don’t pass it on to another time; act fast as

We at Team Leading Edge made this shortlist of tips on how you can sell your Edmonton home fast this season.

  1.      60-SECOND RULE: When buyers see a property for the first time, it takes them approximately 60-seconds to decide if they’ll consider buying it or not.
Buyers will know right away if the home is fit for them, so ensure that you will not turn them off before they even get inside the property.

It is recommended that you maintain a good curb appeal.  Here’s an excerpt from our previous post:
