New Listings for the third week of May was down to 302, that's -17.49% fall from the previous two weeks. Average List Price also went south this week, falling to $493,619 compared to its previous high of $512,934 last April 26-May 1 real estate market update.
Average Sale Price of Edmonton homes rose 3.98% to $455, 893. This puts significance in the assumption that home buyers are still willing to pay a premium. Average Sales Price/Sq Ft is currently pegged at $287.09, a miniscule price movement over the past three weeks.
Average Day on Market stands at 36 which can be taken as a sign of strong buyer appetite. If this trend continues, demand might soon overcome supply.
Total Sales this week racked 206. The stats suggest that the market is currently adjusting to the economic condition in the country. Home buyers are still bullish as seen on the Average Day on Market stat but they are now a bit more cautious.
Still, home sellers can expect a strong real estate market all through out the summer.
