In today's edition of our weekly market update, we have 2 weeks worth of data that would show the current health of the industry.
April 1 - 8:
New Listings: 387
Average List Price: $312,046
Average Sale Price: $305,272
Average Sale Price / Sq Ft: $279.33
Average Days on Market: 37
Total Sales: 134
The first week of April showed relative strength compared to the same time from the previous month. New Listings in particular picked-up, hitting the 387 mark, it's the highest this 2016.
Average List & Sale prices was maintained to the normal level of +/- $300k. The highest Average List Price was recorded last Feb 4 - 11 2016 with $341,964. Compared to the figures for Apr 1 - 8, the Average List Price lost $29,918.
Edmonton home sellers took a loss as Average Sale Price/ Sq Ft, Days on Market and Total Sales were in the red.
April 8 - 15:
New Listings: 383
Average List Price: $304,950
Average Sale Price: $294,714
Average Sale Price / Sq Ft: $282.82
Average Days on Market: 58
Total Sales: 178
New Listings, Average List & Sale Prices were full of disappointment for home sellers for the week covering April 8 - 15 2016.
New Listings lost -4 points, Average List Price had a $7,096 discount and Average Sale Price was down by $10,558 compared to the previous week.
It was all gloomy! Average Sale Price /Sq ft managed to add $3.49 while Total Sales peaked to 178, reaching the highest level this year!
