For November 20 - 27, New Listings plunged 19.6% from a high of 281 (last Oct 30 - Nov 6) down to 226. Average List Price also dropped to $448,412 from a high of $513,315. Average Sale Price on the other hand provides a glimmer of hope for investors and home sellers, from $421,169 the price went up to $435,755. That's an increase of 3.5% in just 2 weeks. People who waited for that 2 weeks before selling gained much more than the ones who sold at a much earlier date.
Average Days on the Market stood at 59, while total sales were down 171 from 185.

Moving on to November 27 - December 4 market update, New Listings took a hit, shaving off 4 points from 226 the previous week to a low of 222. Both Average List Price and Average Sale Price fell down 5.7%.
Average Sale Price/ Sq Ft lost $49.1 from $397.95 to$348.85. On a happy note, Average Days on Market clocked in at 56 from 59, so if you're thinking of selling best to do it now.
Total Sales is at 129 from 171 the previous week. One probable reason for the drop is the due to the upcoming holiday season which, as we've experienced last year, tend to have Edmonton home buyers and sellers take a break from real estate activities.
